Overview //

For the majority of my life, I didn't have a reason to invest in high quality skincare. The extent of my routine was washing my face with a decent drugstore cleanser and maybe following up with a moisturizer. The turning point for me came a little over two years ago when my easy-to-manage and typically clear skin became tempermental and incurably dry. My skin has always been on the dryer side of the spectrum, but I had finally hit an all time low. My face was uncomfortably dehydrated, and I began getting little dry bumps that I could temporarily get rid of with an over-the-counter cortisone recommended by my doctor. Eventually, enough was enough! I set out on a quest to make my skin happy again, and after an extensive search and much trial and error, I've designed an everyday skincare routine that makes my skin feel better than it ever has before.

I decided that it would be most effective to split up my skincare favorites into series of posts because I have so much information to share. Just like my Healthy, Hydrated Hair Must-Haves, the overarching theme of my skincare routine is healthy equals hydrated. Even if you don't have dry skin like mine, I guarantee you will find products in this series that work for you.
