Best of Mario Badescu //
aka: Other Skin Solutions

Welcome to the final installment of my Skincare Favorites & Routine Series, which I've properly re-titled "Best of Mario Badescu"! When my skin needs some extra attention or requires help that no cleanser or moisturizer can provide, the following unique products deliver effective results.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
eliminate unwanted spots //
If you have a pimple, this will help get rid of it and fast. Be sure not to shake the bottle -- you'll want to keep the solution separated. Dip a cotton swab into the bottom of the jar, apply the drying lotion to your problem area(s), and sleep on it! The next morning, it should either be significantly minimized / dried out, or completely gone. You can read more about this product in my Summer Essentials.

Mario Badescu Ceramide Eye Gel
puffy under-eyes no more //
Generally, when under-eye skin is puffy (or more puffy than usual), it's due to a lack of sleep. The good news is that Mario Badescu has a gel that can take down some of the puffiness, and the smallest amount goes a long way. By smaller, I mean, if you can see green on your finger, you have too much, and it won't work as well. Coat your under-eye area with a very fine layer, and within a few minutes, you should notice a world of difference. Granted, if your eye-puff is as bad as mine, it won't go away completely, but it will be significantly reduced.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater
soothe + calm //
Not only does this spray smell {delicious} like roses, it serves several purposes. The aloe works to soothe dry, irritated skin and similarly reduces redness due to irritation.

Eye Creams & Why I Don't Use Them

If you're new to my Skincare Favorites & Routine Series, welcome -- you can check out the rest of the series in the links listed below! On the other hand, if you've been following these posts for a while now, you may be wondering why I haven't mentioned an eye cream.

I noticed a few scattered little white bumps around my under-eye area. My esthetician told me they're milia and that I should stop using eye cream. I've stopped getting milia, but my under-eye skin has been very dry.

Here's the part where I need your help! Are there any eye creams you've tried that don't leave milia? P.S. If you're not sure what milia are, don't look up pictures on Google Images. Those are some pretty extreme cases -- aren't they always?

... and with that, I wrap up my Skincare Favorites & Routine. As I continue to discover amazing new products, I will absolutely share them with you all.

  1. I know you've provided the links, but what is so distinct about Mario Badescu line of products because I'm quite intrigued? & since I'm a victim of sensitive skin, I must ask of the ingredients if you don't mind sharing (:

    1. Hmm.. I've never had that issue. I'd suggest you see a dermatologist or esthetician to have them removed.

In terms of eye creams, I've been enjoying the Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream and haven't had any issues with milia. Hope this helps! xx
